Sanriku

Sanriku's hills were harsh and never ending. I'd triumph to a peak, briefly relish the descent, only to despair at the sight of another climb... Over and over for tens of kilometers 🥲. The winds were equally unforgiving: once I was nearly brought to a standstill on a descent by wind alone! Nonetheless, between spontaneous detours, breathtaking landscapes, the traces of past tsunamis, and the wonderful people along the way, every day felt like an adventure!
